International cooperation

In an international context, it is highly necessary for researchers to adopt an open-minded view of their activities. Building longterm international research cooperation is a key factor for a laboratory development.

Wireless Networks lab

USA

The CITI is involved in long term collaboration with Pr. Cristina Comaniciu, the head of the WNET laboratory of Stevens Institute ot Technology, New Jersey USA. This collaboration took place in the context of a Marie Curie European action (Distmo4wNet) and led to several short and long stays of CITI members at WNET lab.

Center for Wireless Network Design

Luton, UK

CITI and CWIND collaborate in the frame of a new FP7 European project to merge their mutual experience on wireless network modelling, planning and optimization. Guillaume de la Roche, a former CITI PhD student, holds a Marie Curie postdoctoral position at CWIND and co-supervises two PhD students.

Northwestern Polytechnical University

Xi'an, China

The CITI and NWPU work together on Sensor and Ad-Hoc networks field, more precisely on the cross-layer design between MAC Layer and Network Layer. Prof. Li Bo, head of the Lab, was Visiting Professor for one year in 2007 and Karel Heurtefeux, PhD student at CITI Lab spent 3 months in 2008 to reinforce this collaboration.

Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal

Montreal, Canada

The CITI has been collaborating with this engineering school for a long time both in the area of networking and software engineering. Prof. John Mullins was Visiting Professor at the CITI for one year in 2006 to work on security and Prof. F. Valois from the CITI visited S. Pierre for 3 months in 2007 to work on sensor networks protocols.

LIAMA

Beijing, China

The CITI laboratory has set up a strong collaboration with the Sino French laboratory LIAMA of Beijing, China since 2005. This cooperation is supported by a Sino French Advance Research Program and led to several short and long term exchanges of researchers. The aim of the collaboration is the modelling of a sensor network application with techniques from data bases and knowledge management.

Laboratory of Wireless and Sensor Networks

Shanghai, China

The CITI has set up collaboration with Pr. Minyou Wu, the director of the WnSN Lab of SEIEE, Shanghai JiaoTong University. This collaboration led to several seminaries at WnSN on 2007 and 2008 by CITI members and an ongoing STIC-ASIA project preparation. Jia-Liang LU, former Ph.D. from CITI is currently working as a Post-Doc at WnSN for two years. Fabrice Valois has spent several shortstays at WnSN for research purpose.

Orange Lab

Beijing, China

The collaboration with Orange Lab Beijing began with the Ph.D. of Jia-Liang LU in 2004. The work program is in the scope of wireless sensor and led to several scientifi c results, including 2 journal papers and one patent. Several short and long stays of CITI members in Orange Lab Beijing occured during the last 3 years.
